Units cannot use the Bombardment ability against a planet that contains a unit that has the Planetary Shield ability.

65.1The Planetary Shield ability does not prevent a planet from being affected by the X-89 Bacterial Weapon technology.
65.2The Planetary Shield ability prevents an L1Z1X player from using their Harrow faction ability.
65.3If a war sun is in a system with any number of other players’ units that have the Planetary Shield ability, those units are treated as if they do not have that ability.
- aUnits treated as if they do not have a Planetary Shield ability cannot use the Magen Defense Grid technology.
- bA war sun can use its Bombardment ability against planets that contain units that have the Planetary Shield ability.

A unit with the Planetary Shield ability on a planet does not stop the use of a unit’s Bombardment ability on other planets in the same system.
If the Planetary Shield ability prevents the use of a Bombardment ability, then the ability of the Thunder’s Edge version of X-89 Bacterial Weapon cannot be used.
If a war sun causes a unit to be treated as if it does not have a Planetary Shield ability, that unit may still use the ability of the Thunder’s Edge version of Magen Defense Grid.
If a war sun causes a unit to be treated as if it does not have a Planetary Shield ability, all units in that system with a Bombardment ability may use it against the planet that unit is on.
